Derek Schraner is as enthusiastic about teaching as he is about learning.

He holds multiple certifications in teaching and instructional skills, issued by Ryerson University’s Professional Development in Teaching Program, accredited by SEDA UK, the international Staff and Educational Development Association.

He has given English instruction over several months in Japan, volunteered regularly for English and computer literacy with Frontier College’s Beat the Street program in Toronto, volunteered for public readings with the Ottawa-Carleton school board, participated in IBM’s in-house Lunch and Learn lecture series, and has assisted and lectured at Ryerson University.

A sample of his do-it-yourself production lesson — Podcasting: Radio-Free Radio — was originally created in PowerPoint. Download the slideshow in PDF format.

A low-fidelity archived recording of the lesson is available, but was not produced by Derek Schraner himself. Stream the audio from ReverbNation.
